  Progressive, browser-first media inspection.

  • Playback and basic file information are available without loading FFmpeg.
  • Codec, stream, chapter and tag inspection runs only when requested or required by an operation.
  • Detailed-inspection failures are nonfatal and retryable.
  • Firefox probes use a fresh core with safe MT-to-ST fallback.
  • Timeline rendering and advanced tools inspect on demand while preserving multi-file order.

  Verified with 332 unit tests, the complete Chromium FFmpeg workflow suite, ST/MT Opus encode and re-probe, Portal assembly, and the supplied 153 MB lecture in Chromium and Firefox.

  Initial GPL-3.0-or-later release of the local-first Audio & Video Tools application.

  The production ZIP contains the Toolbox manifest, application and dependency licence texts, third-party notices, source record, and the exact self-hosted ffmpeg.wasm 0.12.10 ST/MT assets. The separate FFmpeg archive provides the pinned corresponding source for those WebAssembly cores. Verify both artifacts with their SHA-256 sidecars.
